A little about myself

I am a Respiratory Therapist working on the front line with COVID-19 patients. I work in the Emergency Department, General floor care, Nursery and Intensive Care Unit. I assist with intubation, manage the ventilator Bipaps and CPAPs.

Why do I need PPE?

I get one n-95 mask to use everyday and one surgical mask. One of my per diem hospitals I work at gives us one surgical mask a day for 5 shifts. And the other one has us wearing a n-95 the whole shift right now because one of my fellow coworkers tested positive.

What PPE do I need?

I really need a Half face reusable n-95 with filters. If possible would love to have as many as 10 donated to me for the other therapists at the hospital where we are extremely limited on supplies and where we have had a multiple positive patients in our ICU and coming through the ED. If anyone has n-95’s to donate that would be so much appreciated, but I know they are limited.

Any other info or message to add to potential donors?

Respiratory Therapists are very close working with COVID-19 patients. From the moment they arrive in the ED, we are either putting them on oxygen, giving inhalers, putting them on bipap, managing their airway, intubating, or transporting them. I would like to feel safe and protect myself for my children, patients, and coworkers.

Rachelle, I ordered 10 N95 masks for my family back in Jan before things got crazy and they just arrived. You and your co workers need them more than we do so I am happy to send them to you. Sending you all our prayers for good health.
